Pride Season is here again in Vancouver!

Pride is a celebration, but it is also more than just that- it is a social and rights-based movement. We welcome any opportunity to lift up the accomplishments that have been made by and with our LGBTQ2S friends but we also recognize what it's all about- visibility and community for queer and trans folks.

On Sunday, August 5, 2018 BCGEU members, including President Stephanie Smith and Treasurer Paul Finch will be marching in the Vancouver Pride parade and we want you to join us.

WHEN: 1:00 pm, August 5, 2018

WHERE: Zone I, North side of Robson Street, 1

The BCGEU float will be in the staging area I on the north side of Robson Street and will meet up at 1 pm. To join the BCGEU float, look for the BCGEU flags as we will be marching with many other unions. The parade will end at 3 pm at Sunset Beach.

We will have the BCGEU float in the parade and we want everyone to feel welcome to join us. There will be seating on the float for those with mobility issues. Seating is limited, so RSVP early.

Bring your sun hat, water bottle, celebratory spirit and your allyship and join us in one of the largest and most vibrant parades in North America. We will have swag to share with the parade watchers and a limited number of BCGEU Pride t-shirts.

Whether you are marching with us or just watching the parade from the sidewalk, be sure to look out for your fellow members.
