A Steward Fundamentals course has been scheduled for your area. Please take a moment to register for this course. Depending on how many will be attending, the course may be at the Pioneer Complex. The Area Office will notify you this week regarding location.

Steward Fundamentals is our two-day foundation-level course for all stewards in our Leadership, Education and Activism Program (LEAP). It will introduce you to your key roles and responsibilities as a steward and help you develop the essential skills you will need.

Through discussion, interactive group activities and role-plays, you will be introduced to the key roles and responsibilities of a steward as advocate, educator, organizer and communicator. Stewards will leave feeling more confident and effective in their role and skillful in their interactions with members and the employer.

* A union-paid leave-of-absence is provided for this course.

* Travel, meals and accommodation, if required, are also provided.

* Reasonable child and/or other dependent care expenses may be reimbursed.
