Staying Well: Tools to Minimize the Impact of Stress on the Body

When stress builds up, it lands in the body and can unplug the brain. Our thoughts can race and be hectic or we can feel dull and foggy. Using a somatic approach, this workshop teaches techniques to help reduce the physical impact of stress on our bodies. When we feel at ease, we can think more clearly.
After this workshop, you will…
* Learn to identify earlier cues that tell you when you need a break
* Practice simple strategies to relieve tension as it arises (other than breathing)
* Have the chance to connect with other members in similar roles
* Understand and be able to explain the body's instinctive responses to overwhelming stress
