Are you concerned about housing affordability in New West? City Council is currently discussing an exciting new housing initiative that could be adopted by Council this Spring. 

This proposed policy will deter renovictions and enforce penalties on bad landlords that cut corners and try to evict tenants without permits, don't relocate tenants, or give tenants excessive rent increases. This would be a big first for New West and for B.C.

We will gather outside City Hall at 5:30 along with our allies at the Tenants Union, and will have a rally and media event before heading into the public hearing at 6:00pm. If you'd like to speak, you will be able to. There is no pressure if you'd prefer not to.
