This email address will be sent an electronic ballot if an election is required. Voting takes place in the three days following the meeting.

The next Local 703 meeting is on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 6 p.m. to prepare for the BCGEU 51st Triennial Constitutional Convention taking place from Wednesday, June 9, 2021 to Saturday, June 12, 2021. The Constitutional Convention is where BCGEU members elect the President, Treasurer, and the four Executive Vice-Presidents and determine what the mandate of YOUR Union will be over the next three years.

Resolutions are put forward by members for members. In order for your union leadership to carry out the work on behalf of the membership it is your responsibility to put forward your ideas. Please take the time to review the Constitution and consider the direction your union should be heading and provide your input. 

If you are interested in attending convention as a delegate (or alternate) of your Local, please complete the attached nomination form and return it via email to [email protected]. Nominations close at the local meeting on February 17 which starts at 6 p.m. Your nomination form must include any bio you would like added to the ballot in the event that there is an election (max. 350 words plus one photo).  No late bios will be accepted.
