Prevention of Violence
Violence should not be a part of your job, but we know that workers are suffering physical and psychological injury as a result of violent workplace incidents. This course is intended to assist joint committee members to set up an effective violence prevention program. Please ensure that you are a union appointed committee member, in the non-government sector, and that you have taken the Basic Committee Training course prior to registering for this course.

Legal requirements for Employers to complete a violence risk assessment and to develop a violence prevention program for their varied workplacesDefinition of Workplace ViolenceHazard identificationFactors that contribute to the increased risk of violenceStrategies for recommending corrective measures to eliminate or reduce the risk of violenceStrategies to address Domestic Violence on workplaces
