A Steward training session for Local 407 has been scheduled for November 29, 2023, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Okanagan Area Office, 1064 Borden Avenue, Kelowna. This training session will be a hybrid of Joint Labour/Management Committees, what constitutes unsafe work and how to deal with this at the workplace, selfcare awareness. Stewards will leave feeling more confident and effective in their role and skillful in their interactions with members and the employer.

· A union-paid leave-of-absence is provided for this course.

· Travel, meals, and accommodation, if required, are also provided.

· Reasonable child and/or other dependent care expenses may be reimbursed.
