Re: Enhanced Steward Training – Please RSVP

You are invited to attend a one-day enhanced steward training at the Lower Mainland Area office. The full-day training will build your confidence as a steward and provides a chance to share your successes and challenges, and your strategies for addressing worksite issues.

This training is being offered to all Local 1203 stewards, whether you are a new steward or a returning steward.

Location: BCGEU Lower Mainland Area Office - Musqueam Room: #130 – 2920 Virtual Way, Vancouver

Date: December 2, 2025 | Time: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm

To register, please RSVP no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Once you have been registered in the course you will need to request leave from your Employer as soon as possible. The BCGEU will provide one-day paid union leave to attend this course. When registering for the event, please remember to fill out your hours for a Leave of Absence (if one is required).

Lunch will not be provided as there are several lunch options around the Lower Mainland Area Office. You will be entitled to submit a claim for the lunch meal allowance, per the BCGEU Financial Manual. The meal allowance is $30, and no receipt is required for this expense.

Additionally, if you have not sent back your completed SIS form, please complete the attached SIS form and email a copy back to [email protected] as soon as possible.
