Local 1202 will be having its one-day Enhanced Stewards' Training. All Stewards are strongly encouraged to attend. You will not lose pay, and all expenses will be paid. I.e.: mileage and meals. If you are from outside of Nanaimo your travel and hotel will also be paid i.e.: Port McNeill, Port Hardy, Courtney/Comox, Campbell River, Powell River, and Gulf Islands.

1. Conflict Styles: Yours and Managements and how to effectively deal with the various styles

2. Types of behaviour in conflict: Learn the types of behaviour and tactics that management may display and how to effectively counteract it

3. Progressive Discipline

4. Leading Arbitration Case analysis and how it can assist you in your discussions with management

Directly after the training, there will be a Local Meeting which we encourage everyone to attend. You will learn of the resources available to you within your Local and meet your Local Executive.
