Pride Season is here again in Kamloops! 

Pride is a celebration, but it is also more than just that- it is a social and rights-based movement. We welcome any opportunity to lift up the accomplishments that have been made by and with our LGBTQI2S+ friends but we also recognize what it's all about- visibility and community for queer and trans folks.

On Sunday, August 26th, 2018 BCGEU members will be marching in the Kamloops Pride parade and we want you to join us!

DATE: August 26, 2018

TIME: Meet up at 10:30 am, Parade starts at 11:00 am

The Pride parade kicks off at 11:00 am at Riverside Park, 100 Lorne Street, and all marchers should arrive by 10:30 am. The parade will be a marching only event and will end at Riverside Park with a family-friendly festival.

We'll need volunteers from 9-3 to help with the march and to greet community members at the BCGEU table. If you are interested please contact Kari at [email protected] or 250-574-5100.

Bring your sun hat, water bottle, celebratory spirit and your allyship.

Whether you are marching with us or just watching the parade from the sidewalk, be sure to look out for your fellow members.
