This workshop is a 2-hour tour through the legal framework that supports (and sometimes hinders) our work as union activists. It includes information about:

Provincially and federally regulated sectors
The Employment Standards Act
The Labour Relations Code
Relevant human rights and labour legislation
The role of the Labour Relations Board
How our collective agreements, grievances, and arbitration fit into this whole structure

This workshop is a great introduction for stewards and local officers but all members are welcome.
