Your bargaining committees have met with the employers for six days on four occasions to work toward collective agreements with both employers. One day was devoted to issues specific to Westview Agencies and on five days the committees have met as a "common table" to address matters common to both employers.

 Although a limited number of matters are to be addressed, bargaining is sometimes complex because of similarities and differences between First Insurance and Westview Agencies.

 Progress has been made on a number of issues.

 The employers have taken positions at the bargaining table that have the potential for very significant difficulties to further progress. If there is no change in the employers' positions, your bargaining committees may be asking members to make important decisions in the coming weeks.

 All members at First Insurance and Westview Agencies are urged to attend this important meeting to learn more of the status of bargaining and potential actions that may be necessary.
