A Steward Fundamentals course has been scheduled for your area. Please take a moment to register for this course.
Steward Fundamentals is our two-day foundation-level course for all Stewards in our Leadership, Education and Activism Program (LEAP). It will introduce you to your key roles and responsibilities as a steward and help you develop the essential skills you will need. Through discussion, interactive group activities and role-plays, you will be introduced to the key roles and responsibilities of a steward as advocate, educator, organizer, and communicator. Stewards will leave feeling more confident and effective in their role and skillful in their interactions with members and the employer.
Please register as soon as possible, and before April 2, 2025
· Priority will be given to Stewards who have not received this training, or not in the past 6 years.
· A union-paid leave of absence is provided for this course. (Please include details in your RSVP)
· Reasonable child and/or other dependent care expenses may be reimbursed.
**NOTE: In your RSVP, hotel accommodation is available for April 14 & 15 to members attending from Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge, Hudson's Hope & Fort Nelson. Lunch will be provided to all attendees. Please indicate in your RSVP if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements.**
