Steward Fundamentals is our two-day foundation-level course for all stewards in our Leadership, Education and Activism Program (LEAP). It will introduce you to your key roles and responsibilities as a steward and help you develop the essential skills you will need. Through discussion, interactive group activities and role-plays, you will be introduced to the key roles and responsibilities of a steward as advocate, educator, organizer and communicator. Stewards will leave feeling more confident and effective in their role and skillful in their interactions with members and the employer.

In order to participate, you will need access to a laptop or tablet and have either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your internet browser. We will also need your current home email address.

We will be putting together packages and mailing them to your home address (or your address of choice) in order for you to have material to follow along with.

At this time, the sessions will be limited to 8 people and participants will be able to attend on a first come, first serve basis. We will be happy to schedule another session if there are more registrants than spaces. Registration is open to new stewards or those that have not had training in the past 3 years.

· Priority will be given to Stewards who have not received this training.

· A union-paid leave of absence is provided for this course. (Please include details in your RSVP)

· Reasonable child and/or other dependent care expenses may be reimbursed.

Will you come?
