The BCGEU is offering Enhanced Steward Training to all stewards and local executive members in Local 608 on April 26, 2023. The training will include 'Member Engagement' and 'Demystifying Arbitration'.

Member Engagement - As local officers you will identify member needs and review how previous local 608 meetings have been attended. You will then plan how to implement opportunities for member engagement and improved local initiatives.

Demystifying Arbitration - Participants will be able to differentiate between the various arbitral process and recognize the steps in the formal arbitral process.

Training sessions are open to all Local 608 Stewards and Local Executives.

When registering online, please advise if you have any allergies with special dietary requirements, as lunch will be provided.

LOA: All requests for LOAs must note the dates and number of working hours you will miss by attending this training.

Mask Usage Reminder:

· You are required to wear a face mask when arriving at and departing and in all common areas of the area office including the elevator and meeting rooms. The area office will provide medical masks if needed.

· Once you're in the training masks will be optional if all attendees are in favour.

Proof of Vaccination:

· Proof of vaccination is no longer required for this event.
