STEWARD FUNDAMENTAL TRAINING

The "STEWARD FUNDAMENTALS" - Two (2) day online course will be held:

DATE: Thursday, April 22, 2021 & Friday, April 23, 2021

TIME: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

We hope everyone is healthy and staying safe. As time has passed on with social distancing still in effect, it has been decided that we will continue to do training sessions using Microsoft Teams.

In order to participate, you will need access to a laptop or tablet and have either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your internet browser. We will also need your current home email address (If not already updated with the Union).

As in the past, you will still be eligible for a leave of absence that needs approval from your supervisor.

This course would offer the following:

• Rights & Responsibilities of a Steward

• Getting to know your Collective Agreement

• Workplace Investigations and Meetings

• What is a Grievance

• Steps to filling out a Grievance form

If this is something you are interested in, please register by Friday, April 9, 2021.

At this time, the sessions will have limited seating so priority will be to registrants on a first come first serve basis. We will be happy to schedule another session if there are more registrants than spaces.
