The Area 03 Cross Component Committee is hosting a free Family Outdoor Movie Night for BCGEU members and their families in the Lower Mainland on Saturday July 19. 

LOCATION: BCGEU Lower Mainland Area Office – #130 – 2920 Virtual Way.

The Broadway Tech office complex is located on Renfrew Street between East Broadway and Grandview Hwy in East Vancouver.

Open Air movie location: Broadway Tech Picnic Area located in front of 2980 Virtual Way building .

TIME: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm – Button making, glitter tattoos and carnival snacks

9:15 pm to 11 pm (approximately) – A Minecraft Movie (101 minutes)

Families are welcome from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for fun & activities prior to the movie. Free carnival snacks will be provided, including cotton candy, popcorn, and sno cones. 

Bring your own chair/blanket to watch the movie and bring your own drinks and snacks for the movie but please remember to take any leftovers or garbage with you. 

This is a family event and alcohol is NOT permitted. 

The family movie event is free but a deposit of $10 per person is required to secure your registration.

 Groups are limited to 5 people maximum (BCGEU member plus four family members). Maximum capacity is 300 people.

Deposit payment via credit card is due when you register. Please use the link emailed to you when you RSVP. The deposit will be automatically refunded to your credit card after the event. No refunds will be given if you do not attend and/or do not check in with the registration desk at the event.

The DEADLINE to register and pay your deposit is Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 12pm. Late registrations and/or drop-ins cannot be accommodated.

 This event typically sells out quickly so do not delay in registering and paying your deposit!

The BCGEU Code of Conduct is in effect at all Cross Component events. Any participant engaging in unacceptable behaviour may be asked to leave and not invited to future events.
