This past year was an extremely busy period for Unions with many of us on the strike lines. Many of the Unions had similar experiences while of course seeing differences, but we have all learned so much from experiencing strikes in action. The Area 01 Cross Component Committee would like to invite you to hear from a panel comprised of workers from six different unions (BCGEU, CUPW, Unite Here, PEA, SIEU and Unifor) who will share their recent experiences of being on strike.

The six-worker panel will be speaking from a diverse range of experiences and perspectives: four workers from four different public sector unions, and two workers from two private sector unions.

These workers will talk about what worked, what didn't work and what the future might look like for worker action. We will celebrate the successes but also look at ways to improve to keep winning big for the workers.
