Activist Appreciation Banquet

The honour of YOUR presence is requested to join us for dinner and entertainment in honor of your commitment and volunteer hours representing BCGEU Members.

DATE: Saturday, August 26, 2023

LOCATION: The Point Restaurant

1640 Broadway Avenue,

Williams Lake, BC

TIME: Cocktails at 5:30 pm (Cash Bar)

Dinner at 6:30 pm

Union Expenses:

· As per the BCGEU Financial Manual, hotel accommodation will be provided if needed and you will be reimbursed for mileage incurred to and from the event, dependent/family care expenses and meal allowances. Expense claim forms will be available at the event and will need to be returned to the area office for approval.

Mileage:

· Our current mileage rate is 68 cents per kilometer. Mileage is claimed by expense claim form.

Leave of Absence Form:

· If you are scheduled to work the day of the event, the BCGEU will reimburse your Employer for the hours you are away from work so you are able to attend this event. To receive a Leave of Absence form to attend the event, please complete the hours needed for reimbursement in the attached registration form. The Cariboo Area office will issue your Leave of Absence (LOA) form for you to submit to your employer.
