The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss local elections, accept additional nominations, and connect with the local as we enter a new calendar year.

Nominations are open for all local 703 executive positions, as follows:

· Chairperson 1 position

· 1^st Vice Chairperson 1 position

· 2^nd Vice Chairperson 1 position

· Treasurer 1 position

· Recording Secretary 1 position

· Member-at-Large 8 positions

· Equity Member-at-Large

(Indigenous workers; workers of colour; 2SLGBTQI+ workers; and workers with disabilities) 1 position

· Young Worker Member-at-Large

(Age 29 & Under) 1 position 

The BCGEU Nomination form (FA-80) (attached) must be used and should be submitted at this meeting. The form may also be submitted to the area office by fax, email, mail, or handed in personally, no later than 5:00pm on Monday, February 7, 2022. 

If an election is required, all candidates may provide one page (8½ x 11) for copying and distribution to members with ballots. This must be provided to the area office within one business day of the close of nominations, by 5:00pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
