Hello all 403 stewards!

As you know, the role of a steward in the workplace is an extremely important one and we want to make sure our stewards are equipped with all the information they need to continue to assist members every day. We are excited to provide a full day of education and networking with other stewards in Local 403.

When: Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Where: Lower Mainland Area Office, Suite #130 – 2920 Virtual Way, Vancouver

During this one-day training session we will discuss:

· Common grievances in the workplace

· Conducting a Step 1

· Conducting a successful Step 2 meeting with the Employer

· Grievance interviewing techniques

We would like you to build more skills and knowledge to help you become an even more empowered and effective steward.

This course is open to all Local 403 stewards who have taken the steward training course. Union leave will be provided to attend this training course. Once your attendance has been confirmed, you will need to request leave from your Employer.

There is limited seating so please register early. To register please RSVP (include your Leave of Absence hours if one is required) by 5:00 pm, Friday, August 31, 2018.
