TIME: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all Stewards who have not previously taken training and those who may require a refresher (subject to Staff Representatives approval).
EXPENSES AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE:
The BCGEU will reimburse your Employer for time you are away from work to attend this course. The normal union expense policy will apply (including mileage, hotel accommodation and meal allowances). Hotel accommodation will be booked for you as per your requirements below at the Holiday Inn Express 3059 Hwy 16 East. If you choose to bring a guest, the Union is not liable for any expenses other than those of the Steward.
To ensure enough food is ordered, please register online no later than Friday May 12, 2017
Important! – Most Employers require two (2) weeks notice for leave. When you register for the course please notify your Employer that you MAY be absent those days. The Northwest Area Office will send you a Leave of Absence form to be submitted to your Employer for approval once you are registered into the course.
